Kamp Experience

So what is Kidz Kamp like?

Here is some of what you and your kids will experience during your week at Kamp:

When you arrive at Kamp on Monday afternoon, you will be greeted by Boogers & Kamp Staff and guided through the check-in process with the nurses, a final paperwork check, final lodging assignments, and materials.
Once everyone's had a chance to find their rooms and start settling in a bit, it will be time for to head to the dining hall for dinner served by the awesome staff at Prescott Pines  Camp.

After dinner there will be a brief time of Orientation for Campers in one area and Counselors in another.

And then things really get started with WORSHIP!
Kidz Kamp Worship is high energy with singing and lots of movement, some games (which sometimes gets a little messy), and interactive lessons from Pastor Tom!
After worship each night there is usually a fun, high-energy activity
designed to help wear the campers out for a good night of sleep!
In the mornings after going to breakfast and having some quiet time, everyone heads back to the Chapel for morning worship with more high-energy songs, crazy games, a skit, and recap of the previous night's message. From worship everyone is dismissed to the their morning Track times.
Late morning is time for Activities!
When they register, Kampers get to choose a few Tracks that they would be interested in participating in. From Adventure, to Messy Games or Water Games, Choir, Band, Crafts, Sports and more there is something for everyone! They will be assigned to 2 tracks of the tracks they chose and will go to both of those tracks on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings.
Bible Studies are held after lunch at Kidz Kamp and are designed on a kids level. They are interactive and applicable to their lives with hands-on application of the lesson.
The day finishes off with dinner, worship and evening activities once again.
As the week comes to a close, we have a Glow Party on Thursday evening where we sing a little and share about the week.
On Friday morning after we load up and before worship, we have a time for church groups to get together to spend some time sharing about each other's week as well.
That is just some of what you can expect at Kidz Kamp,
but just remember, it is Kidz Kamp
so expect the unexpected in the best possible way!

Kidz Kamp ends after Worship on Friday morning (approximately 10:30 am). If your church is from northern Arizona or the Phoenix metro area you can probably make it home before lunch. If you are traveling beyond that you may need to make lunch plans for your church on your own. Here are some potential ideas to consider:
  • Order pizza and eat outside at camp (if you can get the pizza delivered by 10:30)
  • Buy Uncrustables and things like that to keep in the refrigerator in your cabin for the ride home and stop at a park
  • Pre-order Happy meals from a McDonalds on the way and eat in the vehicle, a park, or rest area.
